By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy is part of our Terms of Service.

• Lesson completion progress

Most of your data never leaves your device. We designed it this way to protect your privacy.

We may collect:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• General usage patterns (features used, session length)
• Crash reports and error logs

This data is used to improve the app and fix bugs, not to identify you personally.

We use information to:

• Verify your email during account creation
• Provide and maintain the Services
• Improve the app based on usage patterns
• Fix bugs and technical issues
• Send push notifications (if you enable them)
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information
• Share your data with advertisers
• Access your journal entries, drink logs, or other local data
• Use your data for purposes unrelated to the Services

We only share information in these limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for email verification. Your email is processed through Firebase solely for sending verification codes. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

App Stores: Payments are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never see your payment information.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Business Transfers: If Bear Serenity LLC is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred. We will notify you of any such change.

We protect your information by:

• Using encryption for data transmitted to our servers
• Storing most data locally on your device (not on our servers)
• Limiting access to account information
• Regularly reviewing our security practices

However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your device secure (passcode, biometrics)
• Backing up your device to prevent data loss
• Not sharing device access with others

Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We cannot access or recover this data.

Email Verification Codes: Automatically deleted after verification or after 10 minutes.

Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Contact us to request deletion.

Access Your Data: View your data anytime within the app.

Delete Local Data: Uninstall the app or clear app data in your device settings.

Delete Account Data: Email info@bearserenity.co to request deletion of any server-stored data.

Push Notifications: Manage through your device settings.

Email Communications: Contact us to opt out of non-essential emails.

The Services are not intended for anyone under 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 21, we will delete it promptly.

The Services are operated from the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from your country.

Firebase (Google): Used for email verification. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Used for payment processing. Subject to their respective privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Policy in the app or sending you a notification. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
